Installation With NuGet Packages

  • Go to Tools -> Library Package Manager -> Manage Nuget Packages... and select OnLine.
  • Type MVCToolbox in the search box. Once located the package press install.

 

Installation Without NuGet Packages

  • Add reference to the MVCToolbox dll into your project.

 

Once installed

You can now start to use MVC Toolbox, just add using MVCToolbox in your cs files.

If you are in mvc project :

  1. Import the namespace MVCToolbox in all .aspx Views by addinging the following code in the Web.Config:

     

        <pages>
          <namespaces>
            ............
            ............
            <add namespace="MVCToolbox" />
          </namespaces>
        </pages>
    


    and in all Razor Views by adding the following code in the Web.Config that is under the Views folder:

    <system.web.webPages.razor>
        <host factoryType="System.Web.Mvc.MvcWebRazorHostFactory, System.Web.Mvc, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" />
        <pages pageBaseType="System.Web.Mvc.WebViewPage">
          <namespaces>
            ............................
            ...........................
            <add namespace="MVCToolbox" />
          </namespaces>
        </pages>
    </system.web.webPages.razor>
     

     

  2. or just to each single View where you would like to use the Mvc Toolbox by inserting in each View the following import statements:

     

     

    <%@ Import Namespace="MVCToolbox" %>
    


    or, for Razor Views:

    @using MVCToolbox;
